Outside Agora

Welcome to our open forum for open discussion between students and staff.

Sometimes we get so bogged down with curriculum and course requirements, that we forget how cool it is to just sit around and chat about the world issues of the day. Too often we have school work that needs to be done, so we put one kind of learning on hold for another. Well, not anymore! Join us monthly for Outside Agora*. It's at 7 am, so BYOB (breakfast).

Recent topics: Defining Patriotism in Post 9-11 America, War with Iraq, Compulsory Education, and the Pledge of Allegiance in our schools.

*The Agora was the heart of ancient Athens, the focus of political, commercial, administrative and social activity, the religious and cultural center, and the seat of justice. It's where Socrates went to soak in the lofty pursuits. But only adults were allowed inside the Agora, so he sat with the young people outside Agora.
